What is Methoxypiperamide?

Methoxypiperamide or MEOP is a new research chemical which has been developed in 2013 by our own laboratory. Due to its nature and its chemical structure this molecule is comparable to the benzylpiperazine series. This new compound has some similarities with BZP itself in most cases discovered by 'in-vitro' experiments.

Methoxypiperamide is currently only available as a research material and is not intended for human consumption.

What is Methoxypiperamide used for?

Methoxypiperamide may act upon the serotonin transporter molecule or may act as a direct ligand for the serotonin receptors. Based on this, it would be useful for researchers to use it 'in vitro' to better understand the action and modulation of serotonin upon the transporter of receptor.

This could be done by placing Methoxypiperamide on a synthetic membrane integrated with serotonin transporters and receptors to measure and completely profile its efficacy and affinity. MEOP also has DRI action which gives strength to SERT molecules. MEOP may be utilised by researchers who wish to use it as a reference sample for theirGC/MS, FTIR or NMR analysis catalogues.
